This engagement session was very special to me and the bride-to-be is absolutely the most gorgeous and good-hearted girl I’ve ever met.  Alright, I’ll admit it, this happens to be an engagement session for my baby sister so I might be a little bit biased…..but seriously, look at her.  After undergrad, Alicia followed Patrick to Memphis where he was beginning med school and they have been together ever since–over three years now.  We were all beginning to wonder when Patrick would pop the question and he finally did right before our family vacation which was perfect timing for a mini engagement session!

Both Patrick and Alicia were really looking forward to the session….well mostly just Alicia but Patrick just doesn’t understand these things :).  We got all ready, went to the beach, and the sky started doing crazy things.  About 15 minutes into our session, it started pouring down rain.  As we were waiting for the summer shower to pass, the beautiful sun just continued to set.  Its alright though because this was just their mini engagement session.  I will be traveling to Memphis in September for their full one so stay tuned for more images.  Patrick’s exact words when he heard this were, “I thought we already did an engagement session.  Don’t we have enough pictures of us?”  Boys! They just really don’t understand that you can never have enough pictures!

I am so excited for their big day at the Reserve at Bluebird Hill and I am even more excited that Alicia has found her perfect guy.  These two are so adorable together and so blissfully happy.  I wish them loads and loads of happiness and laughter in their future!

Oh, and for those of you who are wondering, I will be hanging up the camera lens for this special weekend and turning things over to the very talented Alex from Alex Bee Photography.  I’ve got maid of honor duties and wine drinking to worry about that weekend :).
