Keshav & Archana met in DC. They have since moved away but were recently back for a visit. Keshav’s twin brother picked Archana & Keshav up from the airport and casually mentioned that he had been wanting to see the Jefferson Memorial. According to Archana, everyone knows that the Jefferson Memorial is the best monument so she jumped on the opportunity to visit again. Such a perfectly natural reason to visit–love it! While Keshav’s brother was parking, Keshav & Archana started to explore the monument. I was waiting for them at the front of the memorial. I assumed when they arrived they would have to walk right past me but they ended up going a different route than I originally thought so when I turned around, I saw a couple holding hands both with black jackets on walking away from me. I couldn’t see their faces so I wasn’t 100% sure it was them but I was pretty sure so I chased after them. Keshav led Archana to the top of the monument that overlooks the Washington Monument. She had some sushi that she was carrying around that was left over from lunch and was planning on eating it while they explored. Keshav kept trying to get Archana to put it in her purse without being obvious and I think finally she did. Surprisingly it was more crowded than expected so Keshav had to lead her to a couple of different spots before he finally got down on one knee. It was such a sweet and perfect proposal. After the initial surprise, Keshav’s brother joined them in celebrating. BIG congrats to Archana & Keshav and I’m so happy I could be a part of your day!!
