Claire and Brenden had the most gorgeous summer garden party wedding at the Towson Golf and Country Club.  The wedding was planned by the fabulous Beth from Elizabeth Bailey Weddings.  Beth also happens to be Claire’s aunt so this made for a very special wedding for her to plan.  I started the day off with Claire at Brenden and Claire’s house that they bought together.  In fact, we held the first look in the exact same spot that Brenden proposed to Claire–so sweet!  After the first look, Claire’s Dad drove the entire bridal party to Towson Golf and Country Club in the family’s Winnebago.  Claire’s family took many family vacations in Winnebagos over the years so this was something very meaningful to them.  Plus, it was so fun!

It had been raining on and off all day long, but luckily right when we arrived at the venue, it magically stopped and was beautiful the remainder of the day which was perfect since the ceremony was outside.  This ceremony was a commitment for Claire and Brenden in front of their friends and family, but they had gone through this ceremony before a couple of months earlier so a very special person could witness this beautiful marriage.  Brenden’s mom, Angela, had been battling colon cancer for the past 2.5 years and unfortunately passed away before the wedding. Knowing that this was coming, Claire and Brenden decided to get married in Brenden’s grandparents backyard on June 8.  I have to admit when I found all of this out, I was touched deeply.  My mom passed away from breast cancer almost two years ago and I remember what those last days, weeks, and months were like as well as the days, weeks, and months that followed.  Cancer in any form is a horrible disease and unfortunately takes too many lives prematurely.  Claire and Brenden did a great job honoring Angela in several different ways at the wedding which was so special.  I never met Angela but I can only imagine the joy she must have felt knowing that she was a part of it all even though she could only be there in spirit and knowing that her son had found such a wonderful person inside and out to spend his life with.

As I’m sure Angela would have imagined, the reception was gorgeous and the party was filled with nothing but fun and laughter.  The flowers at this wedding provided by Blue Sage Floral Design were to die for and provided the pops of color that Claire wanted.  The entire room was draped which provided an intimate feeling for guests.  The dance floor was full all night long thanks to DJ Devin from MyDeeJay.  I brought photobooth fun and best of all there was a s’mores station thanks to Capitol Chocolate Fountains.  Yum! The night ended with a sparkler exit.  Seriously, such a gorgeous, gorgeous wedding with so many special touches.  Thanks to my 2nd photographer Teri Pozniak for helping me capture this special day.  I’m so happy I was able to be a part of it!  Big congrats to Claire and Brenden!
