I always tell my couples to choose someplace or some activity that is important to them as a couple.  It makes the photos more meaningful and is usually more fun for everyone than a generic place.  Courtney & Kevin used to come to the NCR Trail a lot when they were first dating and ride their bikes.  And the outdoors is a big part of Kevin’s life so the NCR Trail seemed like the perfect location.  Our main goal for the session was to take pictures in the river….LOVE! We parked and started walking and taking photos thinking we would come upon an area soon where the water was shallow enough.  Well we kept walking and kept walking and kept walking and the river was still very deep and fast moving.  And we were running out of time as the sun was slowly disappearing and as much as I love night photos, it would have been sort of difficult and probably not the best photos with no ambient light at all. We were about to give up and turn around and then we stumbled upon the perfect spot! Yay! We were all so excited.  We were even able to snag some of those night shots that I’m known for at the end of the session :).

These two were so incredibly easy to photograph.  They are so snuggly and cute together–just the way I like my couples.  I’m so excited to photograph their Overhills Mansion wedding next month!
