In case you don’t know, Junior League of Baltimore is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving their communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.  Their purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.  Junior League chapters exist in different cities all over the country.  I happen to be a member of the wonderful Baltimore chapter.

The JLB recently held a fundraiser called Passport to Baltimore Shopping Card.  100% of the proceeds generated from the sale of the JLB Passport to Baltimore shopping card will help support the Junior League’s programs developing and training women to their highest potential and their community impact work, including fighting childhood obesity in the Baltimore Metropolitan area.  Individuals purchased a shopping card for $35 which entitled the cardholder to exclusive discounts at participating retailers for a ten day period in November and for dates to be announced in the Spring of 2014.  Participating retailers include Bare Necessities, Bijoux Inspired Jewels, City Sports (Harbor East), Craft Concepts, Cupcake, Gauge Waterfowl (Online), J Crew (Harbor East), Magda Fine Fashions, Panache, The Pleasure of Your Company, The Sporting Life, UNO the Salon, Urban Chic (Harbor East), Wee Chic, and The Wise Penny.  If you are interested in buying a shopping card, THEY ARE STILL AVAILABLE and you can purchase here.

I had the opportunity to photograph the Fashion Event part of this fundraiser which was held at Greenspring Station in Lutherville, Maryland.  The fashion event served as the kickoff to Passport to Baltimore shopping card.  Attendees experienced an afternoon of delights–the latest fashions from boutiques at Green Spring Station as well as a few other area shops, brunch, and other nibbles, and exclusive salon and spa mini treatments.  Fashion event donors from this event included UNO the Salon, The Wine Merchant, La Cakerie, California Tortilla, Quarry Bagel Cafe, Tark’s Grill, Reliable Churchill, Fresh Market, and Table Toppers.
