On the day of Katie & Hayward’s engagement session, there was a decent chance of rain. We went back & forth about rescheduling the engagement session, but finally Katie said they would just risk it. I of course was excited with her answer because I knew that a rain system moving in meant 1)dramatic skies and 2)really cool rain photos if it did rain. We definitely had one out of the two. The skies were amazingly moody the entire session and Katie was even excited about it saying that her engagement photos would be unlike any others. She was right in a very good way. I am so in love with this session and these two. How adorable are they together? And to think Hayward wasn’t looking forward to having his photo taken before we began. We started the session off at Federal Hill Park and then headed over to the Ritz-Carlton Residences in Baltimore. And of course, we had to wait until the sun went down for some amazing night photos along the water.
I had so much fun with Katie & Hayward during their session which makes me even more excited for their Baltimore Basilica & Frederick Douglass Museum wedding in December planned by Elizabeth Bailey Weddings.
