Laila & Paul’s wedding was a tad different than my typical weddings, because I wasn’t the one who photographed it. I booked Laila & Paul awhile back, photographed their engagement session, and found out I was pregnant with our beautiful baby boy. Unfortunately, my due date fell just a week before Laila & Paul’s wedding. Luckily, I have lots of photographer friends and I knew the perfect person to ask to photograph Laila & Paul’s wedding for me–Brea! Since Brea was available and Laila & Paul were completely on board with the plan, we were all set. Brea and her assistant, Tommy photographed the wedding and I edited the photos and will create their wedding album as well. It was a team effort and I think the finished photos resulted in some pretty amazing wedding moments and portraits. Of course, I knew the photos would be fabulous which is why I asked Brea to photograph the wedding in the first place. I’m lucky to be in such an amazing industry where your “competition” is really just part of a larger team who support and lift up each other. After all, there are plenty of weddings to go around. I’m also lucky to have such amazing clients like Laila & Paul who were so understanding and know that sometimes life can’t be planned.

Even though I wasn’t at the wedding in person, I feel like I was there because of all the amazing moments captured by Brea. And um, Laila I want to have a dance party with you and your friends/family sometime! It looked like such a blast and I’m so happy for you & Paul!
