Before heading over to Cloisters Castle for some Maria & Jae’s Korean wedding ceremony and reception, I started the day off at Maria’s condo where both Jae and Maria got ready. We had so much extra time built into their wedding day so it was wonderful not to be rushed and to have plenty of time for creative photos. After Maria put on her dress that was handmade by one of her good friends, we roamed the castle grounds indoors and outdoors for some gorgeous portraits. The entire ceremony was spoken in Korean and even though I couldn’t understand the words being spoken, emotions are the same at any wedding and that is exactly what I aimed to capture. Maria changed halfway through the reception from her white gown into her traditional Korean gown. I love that my jobs allows me to experience different cultures and traditions! Maria & Jae will also be having a ceremony in Korea at a later date. I’m so happy I could photograph Maria & Jae’s wedding and I wish them much happiness in their future together!
