Last month, I had the opportunity to attend the WPPI Conference in Las Vegas for seven days. This was such an amazing experience! WPPI conference is a place where nearly 12,000 professional wedding and portrait photographers come together. The week was filled with classes, networking, photo shoots, photo competitions, expos, and a little bit of fun squeezed into our already packed days. The week was non stop learning from beginning to end and I was soaking in every last word. Its only been a month and I’m already excited to attend next year.
I arrived to Vegas a day earlier than the conference began so I met up with some other DC/Baltimore photographers who were also in town early. As you might have guessed, we decided to go on a little photography adventure. The other photographers spent a couple of days at the Grand Canyon, but I met them on their way back to Las Vegas at Mt. Zion National Park. Honestly, the weather wasn’t the best for photographing these majestic mountains as it was overcast all day and there was no sun. We couldn’t even see the sunrise or sunset. But oh well, its all about the experience right? At any rate, the five of us had a blast! All of us are primarily wedding and portrait photographers so it was fun to mix it up a little and try out some landscape photography. I look forward to this adventure again when the weather is cooperating a little bit more. SUPPLIES!!! (one of the many inside jokes that came to fruition during our adventure).

Incredible! But that path with the rocks/mountain leaning over – kinda makes me anxious!!!!
