I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I just love photographing proposals! There is so much anticipation and surprises are seriously my favorite. I also love to see how creative and thoughtful all these guys are–I’m always so impressed. On the evening of this particular proposal, Katie thought Robbie was just taking her to her birthday dinner at The Iron Bridge Wine Company in Howard County, Maryland. Little did she know that Robbie had something else in mind. Robbie brought a birthday gift for Katie to open. Inside, was a box that read “Reasons I Love You” on the outside. Inside the box were different scrolls and each one had a reason Robbie loves Katie. *Now lets stop right here for a moment. Most girls when receiving something like this and when marriage is on the horizon would know right away what is happening. After the proposal, Katie said she didn’t know until the very end because well Robbie does sweet and romantic stuff like this for her all the time. Seriously? This is just the cutest and makes me love this couple even more.* Anyway, the last scroll she opened read “Katie, will you marry me?” Robbie got down on one knee, asked Katie to marry him and the whole restaurant started cheering. It was the best! Afterwards, we went outside for a few portraits and then went back inside where Robbie was nice enough to treat my assistant and I to a yummy meal. We were even able to snag a few sunset pictures as we were leaving. I’m so excited for these two and I hope they are still on a high from this oh so sweet proposal!
