I don’t even know where to begin with these two and this wedding. I am pretty sure it is impossible not to laugh and have fun when hanging out with Shanna and Bill. Sunday Funday is part of their weekly schedule so it made perfect sense to have a Sunday brunch wedding to create the most epic Sunday Funday ever. In fact, most of the Federal Hill bars were completely empty that Sunday because everyone was celebrating at the Elkridge Furnace Inn in Elkridge, Maryland!
Shanna might like Lilly Pulitzer just a little bit :). In fact, I think the only dress I have seen her in that wasn’t Lilly was her wedding dress. Shanna rocked a tea length, adorable wedding dress that included pockets–my fav! Of course her bridesmaids each wore a different style/pattern, pink/yellow Lilly dress. I was so in love with all of the bright colors from these bridesmaids dresses. Shanna continued the Lilly Pulitzer theme and color scheme in the rest of the wedding decor including flowers, centerpieces, escort cards, etc. It gave the wedding such a happy and fun vibe (as if it didn’t have that already).
The outdoor wedding ceremony was so sweet and such a gorgeous location. There were tears and laughs as vows were exchanged. Shanna and Bill enclosed letters they had written to each other on their wedding day along with a bottle of wine in a box that is to be opened on their one year wedding anniversary. Such a great idea!
After the ceremony, it was time to get the party started. Guests were spread out between the back lawn where various yard games were set up and the dance floor. The dance floor was kept packed all morning and afternoon long by the amazing John Paul from Absolute Entertainment. If you are a girl, you remember (and hopefully still have) those nights with your girlfriends where you have a few drinks before going out and decide to have your own dance party at the house. You play those guilty pleasure “girl songs” that guys never want you to play including but not limited to Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, Britney, etc. You seriously dance like no one is watching and are completely in your own little world becoming part of the glorious masterpieces that are these songs. Well, this is what Shanna & Bill’s dance party was like and Shanna was the center of it. I had to hold back and remember that I was there to take pictures and not to dance. I looked across the room and saw Grandma plugging her ears–she said the music was too loud.
I loved, loved, loved working with Shanna & Bill and I’m so glad I could document their wedding day for them. So happy for both of them!!
