When discussing engagement sessions during consults, I always encourage couples to do something different than the typical random “park” type engagement session. There certainly isn’t anything wrong with those types of engagement sessions (and they are super beautiful), but I think it’s great when couples include something personal as part of their engagement session. I’ve been on sailboats, canoes, eaten ice cream cones, amusement parks, etc. Each of these things meant something personal to the couple which makes for more meaningful photos. Plus, when thinking outside of the box, we can create some really epic and creative photos together. So, I always say this to couples during consults but most choose the “park” type photos anyway….which once again is TOTALLY fine. But Tracey & McCabe decided to take me up on my advice. They decided to rent a boat….and not just any boat, a fishing boat. We toured around the Baltimore Harbor and were able to get photos with pretty much every single landmark that Baltimore has to offer. So fun!! And there isn’t anyplace better to capture a sunset than on the water. Loved this engagement session and loved working with these two. So excited for their spring wedding at the always amazing Belvedere.
