I photograph proposals quite often and I must say this was one of the most emotional ones yet. These two even had me tearing up the entire time. The day started off by David & Maria taking David’s family who were in town to Running Hare Vineyard for an afternoon of fun. Suddenly, David received a “work call” and had to go to his car to work on his laptop for a few minutes. With the kind of work that David does, this type of work emergency is totally believable. But instead of going to his car, he met me at the villa at Running Hare Vineyard to prepare for the surprise proposal. Meanwhile, Maria received a note saying Chapter 4: Go to the Villa. At this point, she obviously knew what was about to happen and she had the entire long walk up to the Villa as the anticipation built. As she rounded the corner, David was waiting for her surrounded by rose petals. He sang her a song and the anticipation built even more. Maria started crying. Finally, David got down on one knee and proposed to Maria. It was so sweet and all the emotions could be felt between these two. After a few portraits, we headed back down the hill where David’s family was waiting for us. Of course they all knew what was about to happen and they were all so excited! I’m so happy I was able to photograph this special moment for these two. Congrats Maria & David!
